ABOUT

SBDI is an industry endorsed, industry policed, and Association administered system designed to preserve the sanctity of bidding.  The uniform system prevents incomplete, last minute, and qualified tenders and prevents any bid shopping.  The system decreases risk to the General Contractor which protects the Owner's investment in the project.

Can you imagine having days to sift through your bids instead of minutes?

You can have scope definition before the project starts without lifting a finger.

It's all about avoiding risk and having confidence in project costs.

Not only that, each bid you receive is the exact same definition of scope.  There's no need to compare qualifications and clarifications to determine if the entire project scope is covered.

Scope disputes can introduce costly delays.  Through Bid Depository, scopes are defined and further clarified during the tender period.  In the event that there is a dispute, the system is industry policed and requires no consultant interaction. That's piece of mind for you and a considerable advantage to your owner.

Nothing is more terrifying than the thought of having an unqualified trade working on your project.  In traditional procurement, judgement calls about which trades to carry are made right up until tender close introducing uncertainties in whether that trade is committed to the full scope. Avoid this by using Bid Depository.
